We were pretty confident that Ethan would freak out this year when we went to see Santa. He is not big on strangers and even cries when he sees family members he hasn't seen in a while, but we thought we would still try. We had been talking Santa up all week, reading about him in Christmas books and watching shows on TV. Ethan could pick him out in books and he even started saying "Santa" and "Ho,ho,ho" in the past few days due to all of the Santa training. I was foolishly starting to think that maybe, just maybe we could pull it off. Oh how silly of me.
Presenting Ethan on Santa's lap of terror!
How epic is that picture? I had to buy one because it was so funny. He was only on his lap for about 10 seconds, so the terror didn't last long but somehow the girl got the perfect picture to capture Ethan's thoughts on the moment, HA!
Luckily right behind the Santa area they had a Christmas train that went all around the mall. We thought a choo choo ride was the perfect way to make up for the lap of terror and it was, he loved it!
After his fun ride of the choo choo, we headed to Red Robin for lunch. Another great day of making family Christmas memories and hopefully we didn't scare Ethan of Santa for life!
I don't think it's even possible to get good pictures of kids with Santa Claus and the Easter bunny. lol But we try anyways. ;) There's always next year, right?!
