Ethan plays baseball!

Ethan completed his final soccer class two weeks ago and it was great! He got better and better every week and really enjoyed it. He said he wants to do it again, so I'd call that a success! Last week he started a 6 week baseball class. It is the same coach so that is a positive and there are only 4 kids in the class and they were all in his soccer class so he knows them already and he will get a lot of one on one time with the coach. Ethan has had very little exposure to baseball compared to soccer so it will be interesting to see how he likes it at the end.

The first class he did great. They primarily focused on throwing, the rules and running the bases. They are starting hitting this week which should be interesting. 3 year olds and bats is kind of scary to this Mama, HA!

And a couple of videos of him running the bases, he forgot third base the first couple of times, HA!

Sofia's World: 10 Months

10 months and double digits little girl! I cannot believe we are only 2 months away from you turning 1! You become more and more like a toddler every day. You are showing us so much of your personality and let's just say it's a bold one! We're a little scared how much trouble you are going to be. You are so brave and have zero fear. If you want something you will do everything in your power to get it. We have to hold on to you with all of our strength sometimes if you want to get down because you try to leap out of our arms. We are in BIG trouble!

You are doing some fun new things this month. You are saying "Mama", "Baba", "YaYa", and "Dada". You definitely have found your voice and sometimes it's ear piercing, especially when you want to eat! You can clap, you shake your head "no," and you just start waving and its the cutest thing ever! You are crawling everywhere and have gotten so fast. You are pulling up and walking along everything. We are just waiting for you to get brave enough to take that first step. I'm pretty confident it is going to be very soon and that you will be walking by your first birthday. Speaking of your first birthday, it is coming far too fast. I am working on planning you a fabulous pink and gold princess party since your first birthday is also your golden birthday. It's going to be sparkly and fun just like you!

You are just so much fun these days, it's a great age and I'm soaking up every minute I can with you being this little. You are the easiest, smiliest baby ever and such a joy to be around. Your smile lights up the room! I can't wait to see what this next month brings. We love you so much little girl!

Weight:
At your 9 month appointment you were 19lbs 12oz so I'm sure you are over 20lbs now.

Height:
At your 9 month appointment you were 29.5 inches so I would bet you are over 30 inches now.

Clothing Size:
You are wearing 12 and 12-18 months in clothes.

Diapers:
You are wearing size 4 Pampers and they are fitting you comfortably.

Feeding:
For the most part you eat your formula on a regular schedule of 5 times a day and 6 oz at each feeding, the same since you were 4 months old. However, I can tell you are getting sick of formula. You really just want to eat what we are eating. I can't say I blame you, but you have a few months left! You are an eating machine! There is literally not one thing we have given you that you haven't liked. When we eat in front of you, you stare at us waiting for us to give you some and if we don't, you start to scream at us! You have had eggs, chicken, beef, turkey, broccoli, carrots, sausage, pizza, bread, pasta, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, squash, mushrooms, corn, yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, watermelon and I'm sure a bunch of things I can't remember. I am crossing every finger and toe that you stay this way and don't become picky like your brother! I'm still amazed you are eating everything you are only with two teeth too!
Hair/Eyes:
You have beautiful blonde hair and it is really growing! I love putting your hair in a sprout pony tail now! You still have beautiful blue eyes like Daddy that everyone comments on pretty they are!

Sleep:
Sleep has been fantastic. You typically go to bed around 6:30 - 7 after story time with Ethan and you sleep until 6 - 6:30 in the morning. You take 2 naps a day, usually 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon. Keep it up little girl!
Fun Stuff You Did This Month:

Clapping
You started clapping this month and it is the cutest thing. When you get really excited you start to do it on your own and if we ask you to do it you will as well.

Getting to play with your brother
Now that you are more mobile, you can finally participate and play with your brother and many of the fun places we can visit. You've spent so much time being stuck in your stroller watching and I can tell how much happier you are now that you get to actively participate. It's so fun to watch you and your brother play together. You love him so much and are always actively watching him and what he's doing.

Feeding yourself and using a sippy cup
You are doing so well feeding yourself finger foods. You really only ate pureed food for a couple months before we just moved you to small bite-sized pieces. Even with only two teeth you have no problem eating anything. You get better and better with getting everything in your mouth as time goes by. You are also using a sippy cup like a boss! You used one with handles for a couple of weeks and then I saw you steal your brothers' cup one day so I bought you some without handles and you have been using it with no problems. You also can feed yourself your bottle but you are very messy with it and you get milk everywhere!

First pony tail!
Your hair has been getting longer and longer and I had been waiting until I could put it up in a little sprout on top of your head. You looked so cute and your hair looked so funny when we took the pony tail out!

Your first year month-by-month
