Thanksgiving Recap

We had a wonderful, action-packed Thanksgiving weekend with our families! On Wednesday after Ethan got home from school we got started on making Michael's famous apple pie. It was Ethan's first year helping and he had so much fun! He loved turning the crank on the apple peeler/corer.

The finished pie!

On Thursday morning, Michael went and played poker, which is Thanksgiving tradition for him. I hung out with the kiddos and they took naps. When they woke up it was time to get them all dressed up. Sofia was ready!

Our biggest blessings, love these two so much!

We went to Michael's parents for Thanksgiving this year. In years' past we've split the holiday and visited both families but it's been really difficult doing so. With two kids now, we decided to just switch off years so that we can actually enjoy the day instead of rushing off to different places. It was really nice.

Beautiful table all set

We had cute cookie pilgrim place cards.

Dinner was delicious!

After dinner it was time for Christmas crafts, a Dworianyn family tradition. This year Michael's parents bough gingerbread houses for the kids to decorate. They loved it and had so much fun. Although they might have liked eating the candy decorations more!

Sofia and I had fun watching everyone decorate!

After crafts we just relaxed and talked before heading home to get the kids in bed. It was a fun day!

On Friday we didn't really have plans and I had no interest in going out to shop with all the crazy people! We went out to breakfast which we haven't done in months.

After breakfast we headed home and set up our Christmas train. Ethan was so excited, we couldn't get it together fast enough! He didn't leave the tree the rest of the day. He sat there and watched it go around and around. The rest of the day we watched Christmas movies and relaxed.

On Saturday we got up and out early to head to my parent's house to set up their Christmas tree. It's been tradition for a long, long time. It's a lot of fun that we get to do it now with our kids.

This cutie liked looking at the lights too!

Carseat cousins!

"Big Tree!"

We got the tree all decorated and then set the train up. The kids loved it!

Saturday night we went out to dinner and then headed to a light display in Michael's home town. It was actually 50 degrees so we got to go walk around and see the lights. Ethan loved it! This little boy is obsessed with Christmas! They had Christmas music playing and we danced in the Gazebo.

It has been such a great weekend spent with my favorite people!

And tomorrow, I am kicking off our 25 days of Christmas for 2014. For the past 5 years, I have blogged every day throughout the month of December as part of our "25 Days of Christmas" series. It is a great way to record how we celebrate Christmas and the entire holiday season. I know that it will be a lot of fun to look back at all of our family Christmas memories throughout the years. We can't wait to share our Christmas happenings with all of you and hope you look forward to following along as we countdown to Christmas! First up tomorrow, Sofia's 2 month Christmas tree!
