The months are just flying by, I can't believe I'm writing another one of these posts! At 14 months you are just so much fun. You are so into exploring and figuring everything out around you. You want to do everything that your brother does. You follow him around always and if he's playing with something you want to be by his side playing with it too.
One think you have figured out really well is using a fork. Ethan didn't start using a fork until closer to 2 so I didn't ever give you one but one night we were out to dinner at a restaurant and before I knew it, you had grabbed a fork, stabbed your food and popped it in your mouth! Daddy and I just looked at each other with our mouths hanging open! We couldn't believe you did it all on your own. The next day I started giving you a fork with your meals and you did it like you had done it a million times before. My guess is sitting and watching all the other kids at daycare helped you know exactly what to do!
Another first this month was your first snow day! Last year you were only a few months old so you couldn't play in the snow. I couldn't wait to see you all dressed up like a marshmallow and play in the snow. You didn't really know what to think of it at first, but you really started to like it the longer we stayed out there!
One of your newest tricks is going up the stairs. It's a bit of an obsession too. You love doing it and if we go anywhere with stairs, you bolt right to them and start going up. It makes me very nervous as your Mama. We are working with you to teach you to go down but we still need to work on it before I feel comfortable leaving you to do it on your own!
One thing I love about you is how snuggly and cuddly you are. You are always giving us big hugs where you actually squeeze us and I love it! You also give the biggest, wettest, sloppiest, open-mouthed kisses! You also kiss any stuffed animal and especially your baby doll. You carry her around and give her hugs and then kiss her face, it's the sweetest thing ever!
Your top 4 teeth are fully through now and you are getting a third tooth on the bottom. Luckily so far you have handled teething like a champ. We will find out your height and weight at your 15 month appointment.
As far as words, you have added a few this month. Your word list is growing: baba, Mama, Dada, bye bye, yay, yeah, hi, uh oh, thank you, night night, and baby.
Every day with you Sofia is such a blessing. You are just the happiest and most fun little girl in the world! We love watching you learn and explore new things all the time. It's so much fun to experience life through your eyes and the joy you have as you discover the world around you. We love you so much princess and we can't wait to see all the amazing things you will be up to next month!
