Yesterday we did some Christmas baking! We made sugar cut out cookies to make a Christmas tree with a set of star cookie cutters we got from Michael's parents. We made this last year and Ethan had so much fun with it so I thought we would do it again and try to make it bigger and better this year! I can't wait until Sofia can help next year too! This year she just ate some breakfast and then took her morning nap.
I pre-made the dough the night before this year and rolled it out thin so we could just get started and it worked out really well. We got right to cutting out the stars and baking them.
After our cookies were baked and cooled, it was time to build and decorate our tree!
Ethan's favorite part was decorating with M&M's and sprinkles!
And of course we had to add a yellow star on top!
Our tree is finished! I just love cooking with my little man, we have so much fun together!
We had a few extra stars left from our tree so we made some cookies for Santa when he comes in just 6 days!
We also made hug pretzel rings with M&M's. These are so easy to make and Ethan had so much fun squishing the M&M into the warmed hug candies. He loved sampling the M&M's too, HA!
So much fun! I love all the pictures! And I can tell that Ethan loves to cook! Not a bad thing to be teaching them at a young age! He'll make a great husband someday!!!
