Yesterday we did some Christmas baking! Michael's parents found this cool cookie cutter set that they bought a long time ago and never used. It was a set of 10 stars that nested inside one another and when you bake the stars you can stack them to make a Christmas tree! They thought Ethan would think it was cool so they let us borrow it. He loved it and had so much fun!
First I had to recruit some bakers, aren't they cute?!
Sofia went down for a nap and Ethan and I got to baking our sugar cookies. He loved rolling out the dough.
Then we used the star cookie cutters to press out our cookies.
Then we baked our cookies and let them fully cool and harden so they would stay together as we stacked them.
Ethan was excited to build and decorate our tree. I think he might have been more excited to eat the mini M&M's though!
We started building our tree. I would frost each layer and then we would place another star and repeat.
Then we topped it with a star.
Finally it was time to decorate. We used mini M&M's for ornaments and some snowflake and ball sprinkles to decorate our tree!
Sofia woke up and wanted to check out our tree too!
All done!
How fun! What a neat cookie cutter! And I love your shirt! Where did you get it??
