The past few years we had a tradition of going up to Lake Forest to our favorite sushi restaurant and then going to a drive through light display. Unfortunately they stopped doing the light display. I was so bummed because it is one of Ethan's favorite holiday activities. So we needed to find a new tradition. We decided on the Chicago Botanic Garden. They have a holiday event called Wonderland Express and it was right up Ethan's alley. They have almost a million Christmas lights on a pathway you follow to their indoor train display. The lights were beautiful and the train display was amazing! Ethan was in Christmas heaven! It even snowed inside the display. It was magical!

After the Botanic Garden we headed to our favorite sushi place. It was delicious as always and Ethan learned how to use chopsticks this time and ate his dinner with them! Sofia liked being fed with them too.
It was such a great family night. We had so much fun and I think we have a new tradition to look forward to every year now!
