Yesterday we got our first snow of the season! We were only supposed to get a couple of inches but ended up with 6. When we first got up it hadn't started snowing but we went out to breakfast and while we were inside it started. By the time we got home is was really coming down. The kiddos were so excited.
After the kiddos naps we had about 4 or 5 inches on the ground so we all put our snow gear on to head out and play in the snow. Everything looked so pretty, especially the trees in our backyard.
Ethan was so excited and dove right in. Sofia was more hesitant and just watched for a while. She was just barely a year last year so she doesn't remember snow at all. So while Sofia watched and Dado cleared the driveway, Ethan and I played and built a snowman.
Sofia finally got a little braver and like shoveling the snow with a garden shovel. I was glad she could just enjoy it a little. We kept telling her that Winter lasts a long time so she might as well have fun!
The first snow of the season is always fun, however, I'm sure we won't have the same smiling faces come February, HA!
