Yesterday we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. We go to a place nearby called Goebbert's. We've been going there for 7 years and we just love it. They add new things every year and have great activities for kids. Last year Ethan was just a little guy so it was fun to see him running around this year!
What a difference a year makes!
2012
We were so lucky we had the most beautiful day; it was 75 and sunny! We met up with Rich, Tif, Jacob, Maykayla, Tif's parents and Ken. The kids had a blast.
The first thing we always do is go and feed the giraffes. I was excited to see what Ethan's reaction would be since he was so little last year. I thought he might be a little scared but he loved it! Every time the giraffe would take a carrot from him he would get so excited and say "Ooooo!" It was too cute.
After the giraffes we walked through the rest of their animal tents. They have everything from cows and chickens to zebras and tigers.
The pumpkin eating dinosaur, he was giving Ethan the stare down. Ethan wasn't too sure of him!
Nothing a snack couldn't solve!
Then we went to their play yard area where they have lots of things for the kids to climb and run through and they have corn maze.
Ken get caught in Charlotte's web!
Ethan's favorite part of the day was the corn box which is a sandbox type area but filled with corn kernels. Ethan had so much fun in there. It actually felt really good walking in too!
Then we took some family pictures to end our day. We didn't even end up picking out pumpkins since the Ethan was overdue for a nap. We are going to go back this week and pick some up so we can carve pumpkins next weekend.
He was done at this point so he didn't really care how tall he was this Fall, HA!!
