We made these biscuits a couple of weeks ago when we made shish kebabs for my parents. These are a replica recipe of Red Lobster's cheddar bay biscuits. They were almost identical, the only thing we would change next time is not make them so big. They didn't rise as much as they should because they were too big. (I put x2 down next to the spices because you put this amount in the dough and the same amount in the melted butter mixture)
Ingredients
4 cups Bisquick
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 1/3 cup water
1/2 cup melted butter
2 tsp garlic powder x2
1/2 tsp salt x2
1 tsp onion powder x2
1 tbsp dried parsley x2
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl combine the Bisquick, cheese, spices and water. Mix until dough is firm. Using a small scoop, place dough on the parchment paper lined pan.
3. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
4. While the biscuits are baking add the second set of spices to the melted butter.
5. After 10 minutes of baking, brush the biscuits with the butter and bake for an additional 2 minutes or until golden brown.
6. Re-baste the biscuits with the butter when you take them out of the oven.
7. Enjoy!
