With Thanksgiving being tomorrow, I thought it was the perfect time to share the best recipe for stuffing ever! The funny thing is is that this is both the Ebeling and Dworianyn recipe. Both our moms make it pretty much the same way, and believe me, it's beyond amazing! I usually only eat turkey and stuffing on Thanksgiving, it's that good.
Ingredients
1 bag Pepperidge Farm Sage and Onion Cubed Stuffing (Cubed is a must!)
1 tube Jimmy Dean Sage Sausage or 1 lb Italian Sausage
2 cups chicken broth
2 stalks celery, diced
1 small onion, diced
1 stick of butter
2 eggs, beaten well
2 tsp Poultry seasoning
Directions
1. Cook sausage and break into small pieces, remove from pan and set aside
2. Melt stick of butter and add diced celery and onion,
3. Once onions and celery are translucent, add stuffing cubes, chicken broth and sausage and mix well
4. Add the 2 beaten eggs, poultry seasoning and combine
5. Place in bowl and bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes
6. Enjoy!
