Christmas Wrap-Up: Christmas Morning

Christmas morning is always my favorite part of Christmas! I literally could not sleep the night before. I was up every hour because I was too excited and full of anticipation. I couldn't wait to see Ethan's expression to all of his toys from us and Santa. Ethan was still a little sleepy when he came downstairs.

When he got downstairs, this is what he saw, Santa came!

He was still waking up a little so he didn't go running to his presents right away, it took him about 45 seconds and then he spotted the whales in his Santa bucket and that started it all!

A blue whale!

Look Dado, a narwhal!

We probably could have bought him just the narwhal and he would have been satisfied because it took some coaxing to get him to look at anything else once he had the narwhal in his hands. He was officially obsessed. He is our animal loving boy who is really into whales right now!

All a boy needs is a blue whale, narwhal and a beluga!

What else is in here?

Thomas trains!

Just what he asked Santa for, a garbage truck!

More cool Thomas accessories for his train tracks

Mr. Narwhal had to be there when opening presents too!

One of the items we bought him that I knew he would love was a broom. Kind of an odd thing for a 2 year old little boy, but he loves using the big broom to sweep out the garage. He loved it! He started sweeping right away. I threw some cotton balls down for him to sweep and clean up and he thought it was the coolest thing ever!

They call me the sweeper!

A few more games and puzzles

A special gift just from Dado

We made one last call to Santa to thank him for all the nice gifts!

Sofia finally woke up!

We had a delicious waffle breakfast that Michael whipped up and then it was Sofia's turn to open up her presents! Most of her gifts were in her bucket since she's so little.

I was so excited for this doll I had made for her on Etsy. I had a rag doll when I was little that I called my Lolly and I loved it more than anything. I hugged her until there was literally nothing but threads left. This doll reminded me of her, she even has pink gingham legs, just a more modern version.

A penguin for Sofia

A hair bow and headband organizer with 48 pockets which I'm sure will all be full!

She got her very first Thomas train, Rosie, so she can play with Ethan when she's bigger. Ethan won't even play with her now, he says, "that's sissy's for when she grow!"

Dado bought his little girl a few things on his own, some clothes and a lamp toy that she is obsessed with!

A few more toys for her to grow into.

Me and my baby girl

My favorite little boy

Ethan had so much fun playing with his new toys

Such a great Christmas with my littles. I still wonder how I got so lucky to be their Mommy. It's still unbelievable to me that 5 years ago I didn't think I'd ever get to be a Mommy and have been blessed beyond measure to call these two mine. They are the best presents I've ever received!
