Sofia's World: 8 Months

8 months Sofia! You are just the most joyful baby with the sunniest personality! You light up the room and people just go crazy over you when we are out. You still don't have any teeth but they seem to not be bothering you as much these days, which I am so thankful for. You talk and talk and talk. You have said Mama and Dada, but you're favorite is baba. Along with the talking there is a lot of screeching too and you have the best giggle. I can't stop tickling you because your giggle is just the cutest thing ever! You are not crawling yet, still just spinning yourself around on all fours and pushing yourself backwards. You love to stand and can stand for much longer periods of time now. I got out Ethan's music table and you love standing and pushing all of the buttons and hearing the music. We just got back from our first family vacation at the beach and we had so much fun. You loved the beach and might have loved eating sand a little too much! I just love you so much little girl. You are such a joy to be around and you are showing us your personality and it is so much fun. I can't wait to see what amazing things you are up to next month. We love you so much!

Weight:

Your next appointment isn't until next month but I would guess you are around 19lbs.

Height:

Just like your weight, we won't know until next month but I would guess you are between 29 - 30 inches long.

Clothing Size:

You are wearing 9, 12 and 6-12 months in clothes depending on the brand.

Diapers:

You are wearing size 3 Pampers and they are fitting you well.

Feeding:

You eat your formula on a regular schedule of 5 times a day and 6 oz at each feeding, the same since you were 4 months old. You are eating purees and you are also eating anything and everything we are eating. You are one hungry girl! When we eat in front of you, you stare at us waiting for us to give you some and if we don't, you start to scream at us! You have had eggs, chicken, beef, broccoli, carrots, sausage, pizza, pasta, potatoes, tomatoes, zucchini, squash and I'm sure a bunch of things I can't remember. Even though you don't have teeth you manage to eat solids just fine. 

Hair/Eyes:

You have beautiful blonde hair and it is really growing! You still have beautiful blue eyes like Daddy that everyone comments on!

Sleep:

Sleep has mostly been good, a few nights with a few wake ups but most nights you sleep 11 hours on the button. You typically go to bed around 6:30 - 7 after story time with Ethan and you sleep until 5:30  - 6 in the morning. You take 2 naps a day, usually 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon. Keep it up little girl!

Fun Stuff You Did This Month:

Eating solids

You are over eating purees and are moving on to the good stuff! You are getting really good at getting the food into your mouth yourself too. It's pretty funny to watch you and you make "num, num" sounds. You really enjoy your food little girl!

Standing
You love to stand. Most of the time when we try and sit you down, you stiffen your legs and try to stand instead. Who knows, maybe you'll skip crawling and go straight to walking!

First Vacation
We just got back from your very first vacation in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. We had so much fun and you were so good, especially in the car. You were in the car for about 32 hours total and you did amazing. You are a natural born road tripper!
