Weekend Recap

Wow, how is it August already? I can't believe Summer is winding down, it's crazy. We didn't have anything planned for this weekend and somehow we ended up in a whirlwind! On Friday I took Ethan to the DuPage Children's Museum. I had been waiting until he was really walking to go since I thought he would enjoy it more. He had a ball! It was so much fun to see him getting excited to walk all over and explore on his own! His favorite exhibits were the water table, music room, glow sticks and train room.

After the museum it was nap time for Ethan and I had to get a few Etsy orders out the door, a ribbon garland and a birthday door sign.

When Ethan woke up we headed to the park since it was so nice out. Daddy was able to join us after work too!

On Saturday we decided to head North to Lake Geneva. We had a stressful week and Michael wanted to get away so we thought going to one of our favorite places was exactly what we needed! It was the most beautiful day out and it was so nice to walk around downtown Lake Geneva and by the lake, do some shopping and have lunch. Ethan had so much fun walking around the park and playing in the fountain!

We had such a wonderful day and it was nice to get away even just for 8 hours. We came home and we all took naps! We relaxed the rest of the night. 

On Sunday we started a new DIY project. We got a new dishwasher, sink and faucet. Ethan did have fun running through the aisles at Lowes while we picked out our new sink and faucet. We could only work a few hours here and there because we were watching Ethan so we didn't get finished, but Michael is going to finish it up tomorrow.

Hopefully I'll have some pictures of the finished product this week! I hope all of you had a great weekend and have a good week ahead!
