Weekend Recap

Thank goodness January is over! Now we hopefully just have one more month of Winter to get through. We didn't really do a whole lot this weekend. It snowed all day Saturday and Sunday was Super Bowl so we were pretty much home bodies both days.

On Friday I did get Ethan out of the house though. I took him to a place we've never been before, Yu Kids Island in Woodfield Mall. I had heard good things about it so I thought we would try it to do something different. Ethan loved it! He had a ball running, climbing, sliding and jumping through all of the fun areas.

Ethan's favorite part was probably the slide!

He also really loved the balloon lofts

It was a lot of fun and a good workout apparently because Ethan slept for 3 and half hours that afternoon! We will definitely be back to play again. Friday afternoon I worked on some Etsy orders while Ethan napped.

Friday night we went to Bonefish for dinner because we have a few gift cards to use for there. We had a yummy dinner and then headed home so Ethan could play a little more before bed.

On Saturday we woke to, what else, but more snow. Ugh!

We went to breakfast and then did our grocery shopping for the week. Ethan wanted a quick look at the snow.

Apparently that was exhausting because Ethan fell asleep on me after we got home! He hasn't done that in over a year!

The rest of the day we just hung out and played with Ethan. We also worked on booking some vacation things for our trip in May, just 102 more days! This guy can't wait to be lounging on the beach instead of the couch!

Sunday was Super Bowl and we didn't really have a whole lot of plans except making a few appetizers to have for dinner that night. This little guy was ready for some football!

We made some Mickey waffles for breakfast and Ethan had fun stirring and playing with the batter. He is really getting interested when we cook. I want to get him a step stool so he can help more.

Breakfast is this little guy's favorite meal of the day!

We spent most of the day playing and reading with Ethan and then I had do get some work done during his nap time.

Then it was time for the big game. We made some appetizers for dinner and they were really yummy. We made pizza roll-ups, blt cups, and buffalo chicken dip. I'll be sharing the new recipes soon. They came out great.

The game as most of you I'm sure are aware was a blow out and actually pretty boring. The commercials weren't that great either. I worked on a project for work most of the game. I hope all of you had a great weekend. We are supposed to go away next weekend to Lake Geneva but there is talk of getting 24 inches of snow (UGH!) between now and next weekend so we'll see how that plays out. Have a good week everyone!
