Ethan's World: 23 Months

I cannot believe we are just 4 weeks away to you being 2! It's unbelievable how much you have changed this past year. You honestly change all the time. Your vocabulary has been exploding. You are at the point now where if you hear something, you can almost always repeat it. It's amazing!

NO!

Speaking of new words. Your latest word is one that we have been dreading for almost 2 years has finally come out, No. You love to say it and even when we ask you if you want to do something we know you want to do, you still say no! You definitely have a two year old attitude some days, but that is to be expected. 

Gickey

You have loved Mickey Mouse Clubhouse since you were 3 months old and you have recently become totally addicted to it. Your favorite characters are Mickey, Donald and Pete. You always laugh so hard when Pete is on. You know all the characters names and pronounce them so well, except for Mickey. For some reason you pronounce it, "Gickey." It is the cutest thing. I can't wait until next month when you get to meet Mickey in person when we are in Disney World!

Sticks

We have been so lucky that the weather has finally turned around and we've been able to spend lots of time outside. Every day when we bring you home from daycare we go for a nice long walk around the pond in our neighborhood. You have become obsessed with picking up sticks, rocks, leaves, pine cones, anything you can get your hands on. You are definitely all boy and its so fun to watch. I love that you enjoy being outside so much, you are our little nature lover.

Dinosaurs

Your interest in dinosaurs came out of nowhere. One day I came to pick you up at daycare and you were holding a small green dinosaur and you had a total meltdown when I told you that you had to leave it there so we could go home. For the next week or so you always had that dinosaur when I would come pick you up. Daddy had the idea to take you to Toys R Us so that you could pick out a dinosaur of your very own. Well of course Daddy showed you two and instead of picking one, you put your arms around both of them and it was done. You were so happy. You loved them immediately. You even had a meltdown at the cashier when we rang them up and had to take them out of your hand! You play with them every day and it's funny to watch you interact with them. You put your smaller animals in their mouth and shout, "roar" while you are playing. You really love any type animal and love to make all of their sounds.

Ethan, I say it every day, every month, but you are just the biggest joy in our lives. We just love spending as much time with you as we can. I am so excited to celebrate your birthday next month as well as going on our big family vacation in Florida. I can't wait to spend 2 weeks with you in Disney and on the beach in Marco Island. I just know you are going to love it all and I can't wait to see your reactions as you soak it all in. Daddy and I love you so much and we can't wait to see what new things next month will bring!
