Size of the baby? A mango, 6 inches, 8.5 oz
Maternity clothes? My regular pants are still loose.
Weight gain? Still holding steady at 26 pounds lost.
Gender? It's official, it's a BOY!
Movement? I love feeling Baby E move around, I've gotten a few kicks this week too!
Sleep? Sleep has been great and I need a lot of it, 10 hours most nights.
Food Cravings? Still loving pizza; pineapple and pears are also in heavy rotation.
What I miss? Absolutely nothing, I am just loving being pregnant right now.
Symptoms? I'm feeling great, no issues. This is definitely the easiest part of pregnancy so far.
Best moments of the week? Getting the results from our AFP test that our little boy is perfect. It's a test that looks for chromosomal abnormalities, spina bifida, neural tube defects as well as other abnormalities. It's a relief to know our little boy is growing and developing as he should.
What is baby doing this week? This week our baby's sensory development is exploding. His brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision and touch. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on his skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.
